Kitten given as a gift to someone who didn't want her is left outside to fend for herself, so she takes matters into her own paws and moves in with the neighbor next door.

The neighbors uncle brought her a kitten but she doesn't want it.

Everyone left for the weekend and they just left it outside with nobody feeding it.

It saw my cat and wandered over to my place so I have been taking care of it. Still considering but

leaning towards keeping it. My cat seems to like it even though he gets annoyed sometimes.

I need to know how old it is? Gonna give it flea bath tomorrow with dish soap and

call vet to see if it needs specific dosage for flea meds and get it its shots.

But its gonna be tough I don't have much space right now. No separate room to separate

them, just an upstairs area that wont stop the kitten for long so I dunno. That's why I just got one to begin with.

TaborlinTheGrape So you know, cats generally do better in multiples. Gives them someone to play with and socialize with especially when you're at work.
via TaborlinTheGrape
Of course all cats are unique weird little creatures and some of them prefer to be an only cat. But if your current cat seems to like her, I think keeping her is the right thing!

Status-Ad-83 OP The main issue is indoor space. Its a single room with an upstairs area accessed with ladder. They will both be indoor/outdoor, at least till i move.

A kitten will be very difficult in my current situation. Ill move somewhere bigger eventually but it could be awhile.

EssentialWorkerOnO I had 6 cats and a pit bull in a studio apartment. It was crowded, but it worked out. Cats don't need nearly as much space as people think. Please rescue the poor kitten too!

VintageLunch Meat That is a particularly fine kitten! Well done saving her life. Its a single room with an upstairs area accessed with ladder.

Better than a cage in a shelter. But call a rescue group if you're just going to foster her for a while, and they'll line up an adopter. Keep the litter box clean to help prevent cat-cat hostility, and get a second one if it will fit in your place.

How old Look at a kitten age teeth chart. Space If they have vertical perches, hides, or catwalks that helps their space issues a lot.

P_f_M Nah, during my low times in life, I had a flat which was 20m2 in total, had two cats, once a stray cat decided that I will have three cats :-D
via P_f_M
cats go where they feel welcome and safe, it is the size of your heart (for love), the thickness of your wallet (for unlimited treats) what matters... Not the size of your apartment...

Cynthia MWD If the cats get along, they actually tend to do better than single cats. I'd guess your kitten is about 8-10 weeks old, and she's a cutie.

Your neighbors, on the other hand, s k. Good for you to take her in- the CDS always makes the right call. Congratulations!

Ayyke Don't sweat it on the space. As long as you can do proper introductions, of course
via Ayyke
In my experience, cats don't mind living in smaller houses/apartments, with some caveats.

Work vertically: platforms, a cat tree, any surfaces that allow them to get off the ground. If they can climb, they can play, run and hide.

Lower-Constant7727 Yeah, I had two cats in a studio apartment for several years and they got along fine and had fun with each other. It helped that there were several large windowsills they could climb up on. I hope it works out for you and that little cutie.
